Here’s a checklist you should prepare before applying:

1. Application Form (duly signed by both parties)
2. Proof of Age of bride and groom (Birth Certificate, Matriculation Certificate, Passport, etc.)
3. Proof of Address of bride and groom (Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving License, Utility Bills, etc.)
4. Marriage Invitation Card (if available)
5. Two Passport-size Photographs of Bride and Groom each
6. Joint Photograph of Marriage Ceremony
7. Affidavit by both parties (confirming place & date of marriage, date of birth, marital status, and nationality)
8. For Special Marriage Act – Notice of intended marriage and a 30-day waiting period.
9. Witnesses – Two witnesses with valid ID proofs, Voter id  of witness is must.
